The FDA granted approval for Viagra in December 2022, but the company didn't make the full approval announcement until June 23, 2022. According to the FDA website, "Viagra is a prescription medication that should not be taken by anyone under 18 years old unless the doctor recommends it for you."
The drug also hasn't been approved for long-term use by the FDA. In 2017, the FDA approved sildenafil as a prescription medication for erectile dysfunction, but it hasn't been approved for long-term use by the FDA.
